How KinThrive Works With Parents

KinThrive offers one-on-one and group coaching for parents who love their children deeply and may feel as though they have tried everything they know to do.

Many of the parents I work with feel exhausted, scared, disconnected from themselves, and unsure of what their role should be anymore. They want support navigating a complicated relationship with their child, and they are ready to look not only at what is happening with their child, but also at what is happening within themselves.

Our work is not about finding another way to control your child or guaranteeing a particular outcome.

It is a place to slow things down.

To notice when fear, guilt, shame, grief, anger, or the need to fix is taking over.

To become curious about patterns that keep repeating.

To explore how your childhood experiences and relational wounds may be influencing the way you respond to the people you love today.

And then, importantly, to practice something different.

Through individual and group coaching, we may work on:

  • Trusting yourself again
  • Understanding the fears, beliefs, and old wounds behind your reactions
  • Supporting your child without constantly rescuing or trying to control them
  • Moving from fear and control toward curiosity
  • Communicating and listening without immediately fixing, advising, or reacting
  • Setting boundaries without creating disconnection
  • Regulating yourself when emotions are high
  • Recognizing and changing old relational patterns
  • Repairing after conflict, hurt, or disconnection
  • Staying connected to your child without abandoning yourself
  • Building a relationship that allows both you and your child to grow

You are not coming here to be told there is one "right" way to parent.

You are not coming here to be judged for decisions you made while trying to protect someone you love.

And you are not coming here because you have failed.

I do not come to this work as a therapist, and I do not pretend to have all the answers. I come as a trained parent coach, facilitator, trauma-informed professional, community builder, and mother who understands how complicated this can be.

I will not hand you a perfect formula or tell you how to parent. We start with where you are. Together, we begin to understand what is underneath the reactions, fears, behaviors, and patterns—and explore new ways of showing up for yourself and the people you love.

You do not have to do this perfectly.

You do not have to have all the answers.

And you do not have to do it alone.
